Jacques Declas

Jacques Declas

CEO & Co-Founder

A seasoned industry entrepreneur and team-leader with more than 20 years’ experience in the enterprise software industry and a record of scaling international sales teams. He has extensive knowledge of the API Security market having served in senior sales and management leadership roles at Forum Systems, Vordel (acquired by Axway) and Intel. During his career Jacques has built strategic partnerships with vendors such as Computer Associates, Oracle and Microsoft and leading consulting firms Accenture, Atos and CSC.

CTO & Co-Founder

Leads the 42Crunch engineering team worldwide and oversees the company’s R&D efforts. An industry veteran, he has specialist experience in Identity Management, application security and integration technologies. He was CTO with WAF firm, BeeWare (acquired by DenyAll) where he oversaw the technical product direction and engineering efforts. He subsequently joined Vordel (acquired by Axway) where he was Principal Architect for API Management and API security. Philippe now specializes in securing API infrastructures, using and extending existing tools and standards (OpenAPI, OAuth, OpenID Connect, JOSE) and creating new ones.

Oversees all the financial management, human resource and compliance functions at 42Crunch. She is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant with extensive experience in financial management acquired over 20 years across private venture funded start-up, multinational, and public sector environments in multiple jurisdictions including the US, UK, Ireland and France. Prior to 42Crunch she was CFO and company secretary for the Institute of Public Health. She has also held senior financial management roles with mobile player, Xiam and global call-center leader, Harte Hanks.

Leads 42Crunch’s global marketing strategy and works closely with sales, partners, analysts and customers to raise awareness for the company’s API security solutions. He has more than 20 years of senior global marketing experience with high growth technology start-ups and public listed companies. He joined 42Crunch from Akamai following the acquisition of Mobile and IoT security player, Asavie where he headed up marketing. Prior to that, Hugh was VP of Partners & Growth Markets for Axway and before that, he was CMO at API Gateway leader, Vordel (acquired by Axway).

Matthieu Estrade

Matthieu Estrade

VP Engineering

Matthieu leads the development and delivery of the company’s API and AI security framework. He is responsible for building high-performing engineering teams and ensuring the platform scales to meet the demands of enterprise customers adopting API-first and AI-driven architectures. Prior to 42Crunch, he held engineering and CTO roles at Aviatrix, StackSciences, Qualys and Beeware, where he worked on advanced security solutions and contributed to the development of innovative application security capabilities. His experience across both offensive and defensive security informs his pragmatic approach to building security into the development lifecycle.

Axel Grosse

Global Head of PreSales

Axel leads our presales teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for all our customers. He brings years of experience of leading internal presales and solution architect teams and working with external implementation partners. Prior to joining 42Crunch, Axel held several roles at Axway including leading their presales team in the APAC region. He also held senior presales and training roles with Vordel and before that Oracle in the DACH region. A specialist in API Security and API Management, Axel regularly delivers training workshops at industry and customer events to advance the industry’s level of knowledge.

VP, Energy Impact Partners

Tansel Ismail is a Vice President at Energy Impact Partners (EIP) where he focuses on early and late-stage investments in cybersecurity & enterprise software companies. Tansel joined EIP in 2018 and has since partnered with 20+ companies including Dragos, Attivo, Corelight, and Swimlane among others. Prior to EIP, Mr. Ismail was an investment banker at Citigroup where he advised enterprise software companies on M&A and capital raises. He graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. and M.S. in Finance.

As Managing Partner of Adara, with €300 million under management, Alberto is focused on European early-stage, digital tech start-ups targeting B2B markets. Alberto partners with ambitious entrepreneurs with deep domain expertise, to help them globalize and to create a path towards category leadership. Key portfolio investments in the area of cybersecurity included as seed investor at Alienvault and board positions with Constella Intelligence, CounterCraft and CyberGuru. Alberto has qualifications from both MIT and Harvard Business School.

Tushar Kothari is a successful leader in the cyber security and software space. He started and built Attivo Networks as CEO into a leader in Identity Threat Detection and Response and Deception over 9 years which resulted in the company being acquired by SentinelOne for $616M. Prior to Attivo Networks he had worked for industry-leading companies like Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks and NCR in senior executive positions.
